I made the character a silhouette, outlined her a little with a bright colour, changed the colour of the grass and trees, gave her a shadow, and added some blue-grey to the sky like how sunsets look in real life :3

I think its very pretty, but the world looks very topsy-turvy. The ocean is way off balance (which I understand is an artistic thing that I like very much) but the land is only slightly off balance, and the girl isn't off center at all. It makes for a very dizzy picture, which i actually really like. However if that wasn't your goal, the land and girl need to be tilted more so as they're in sync with the ocean.

This is a nice artwork and it deserves to be appreciated, despite being far from perfect. The colors would have been nice in general, but the green in the foliage is too pure. When lit by the setting sun, the foliage should be a little more yellow or blue, depending on how much light it receives. As for shadows, there aren't any. There should be.
I like how you made the ocean look like, well...an ocean. The clouds are well-drawn and the lighting is beautiful. I can see that you attempted a tilted composition but the other parts of the picture are perfectly horizontal. For practice, you can sketch out the drawing, rotate it at an angle, and try working on it. A little challenging, but it would help you in composition.
As for anatomy, the arm seems too short. You might want to fix that one.
You might be struck by what I said about this piece. I understand that you put so much work on this, but if you took some more time and effort, this could have been better. This is a good start, though.

Well, the first thing I notice about the background is that the ocean is very tilted, I don't think the ocean horizon should be at such an angle if the other parts of the picture aren't. The painting on the ocean is nice though.
Watch your color as well, the green on the grass and tree shouldn't be as pure during the sunset.
On anatomy, the top section of her right arm seems to short and her face to far back for where the hat shows her head would be.
