Thank you, Ludifico. Panels come in all types of materials, wood being very common. I prefer them over canvas these days...easier to handle and move, frame, and they are rigid. What is keeping you from trying out oils?

Too expensive. I use acrylics, I paint on plain paper, can't afford canvas

Too bad...you should at least try cheap wood panels, get some gesso, and sand it up to your likeness....it wouldn't cost much at all, just some labor time...and then try your acrylics on them...I bet your paintings would look far better than they do on plain paper.

Yes the paper is not very good for painting acrylics, I have to be
very careful with water, it soaks the paper and the painting is ruined.

No matter how talented and skilled an artist might be, if he/she uses the wrong materials for whatever medium used, crap will result. Good luck.
