Another bird
This is actually really old (made somewhere arround may 2009 ), but I didnt want to post it until I had atleast one more painting
Yeah I failed on this, but I still wanted to submit it
This is a photograph of the painting, scanning it wasnt possible because of the size
I hope you all will like it

You explained it very well and I agree, I should practice more realism, I am glad you think my birds look somewhat real!.
The thing I would love to do is model drawing, but its hard to find a model, I guess I will have to practice with objects/still life afterall

No problem with that
if you have a community college you could probably get in a still life drawing class.
Other than that, wherever you work, go to school, etc. just take your sketchbook and take the 10 seconds people give you to draw as much as you can of them. I don't know if it was real helpful long term to me but I did that when I worked at a call center a lot (people conveniently don't move around too much there, usually!)
The other thing I do for practice is when I am watching a show, if I see a shot I like, I will pause it and draw it. (obviously not useful when you are watching stuff live with no DVR, but on the internet, or videos, etc.) It is a little easier to draw from a 2d source anyway since you are only seeing one angle at a time and you can control it.

Hm no I dont have a community college, but we do have drawing classes.....but we never actually draw, we just work on our other projects during that class, its a shame
I thought about doing that, but I am afraid people will get offended or angry when they find out...
Oh thats a good idea, I also thought about practicing with stock photos since there are quite allot on DA, I wont post them but just for practice

I've done that before too, usually I let the artist know, even if I don't post it. (not sure how much it matters in that case, but people like to know their stock is used and appreciated!)
I understand about being worried if people would be offended. Im not really sure myself how most people feel about being sketched. 
Im sure I should practice a lot more myself, but well.. I don't so much bother. I think I sort of gave up on being serious about art, but then sometimes I wish I was better.... oh well, you get what you put into it I guess!
