Ok, the longer I look at this, the more anatomically incorrect it looks. Ehehe... WHY
I'm getting back to painting without lineart - and it seems so scary after getting used to sketches but... it makes the process a bit faster, so yay. ^^

Aah, you know, my painting process is such a mess (I keep on repainting things, and I also work differently everytime OTL) that I'm afraid it would be more frustrating than informative or helpful to watch

Same here. If I went to art school, my teachers would HATE me. They'd be like "why?" "What is the point of doing it like that when it's so much easier this way?" Well no they'r supposed to encourage creativity, but still, I'm sure they would be so confused why I make it so complicated. I have my own process. It works! Haha

Haha, for me my painting process is actually pretty frustrating; I'd much rather do it the simplest way possible but then I just... don't. Also, I get distracted SO easily, I'm always simultaneously doing something else, beside drawing... I'm so ineffective and I'm just not able to do anything about it. XD

I sooooo understand that! I have to have the tv on for background noise but then I get distracted by it. I can't work in silence either or then every tiny thing distracts me or so get bored and have to keep getting up and wandering around the house then coming back again. I could make my painting simpler too but I like my process. Takes three times longer, the lines aren't as smooth, but WHATEVER! Lol

That's so me! Only I didn't watch tv for like years, but I always need to listen to music, silence is just unbearable when I'm trying to paint, but then my head hurts when there's too much noise... aaah, it's an unending circle XD And I wander around the house a lot too, though I guess that's only for good :3Β
I dunno, I like finishing my paintings as fast as possible because I'm also eager to work on something else XD

I get so eager to work on other things that I end up project jumping. I can't sit down and finish one project. EVER. Sometimes I'll even jump from sewing to painting to drawing to clay to sewing to drawing..it gets crazy haha. I like music when I paint, tv when I draw, sew, bake, and do clay. Tv when I'm painting is too distracting for some reason, so I like to put on my music and get on the floor and paint. I feel you on the noise thing, sometimes I'll turn my tv down super low all of a sudden and my sister looks at me like "what's up with that?" And it's because it's just too loud and annoying. Then I turn it up because it's too quiet but then I get mad all together and shut it off. She always laughs and rolls her eyes.

Haha, I recently learnt to do just one project at a time but it proves so extremely inefective for me that I'll probably go back to project jumping soon. It's more fun that way anyway! ^^ An, exactly, I always have to switch between moments of silence and music and it just varies with my mood all the time XD

Seriously! I think it's because there's all this chatter going on in my head and the tv just seems to be screaming at me so I'm like "shutup!" And turn it off. Then my mind quiets down and I'm like "..........β’_β’ I'm bored now" and have to turn it back on or go do something haha. Ya I admit that as much as I try to sit down and finish one project, I always grow just a little bored with it or run out of ideas. If I worked on one piece of art only, I'd probably butcher it, finding so many mistakes that aren't even really there. It's like..cabin fever, but staring at one piece of paper lol.

Haha, really? In my head it's most of the time more like absolute emptiness and it is precisely as depressing as it sounds, hehe So I just have to fill it with something, music, anything... but listening to music all the time gets tiring, so... yeah. I find it hard to work on one piece of art at a time too... but if I don't finish it in one go there's just a huge chance I will never finish it... tho i know precisely what you mean by that 'cabin fever' feeling XD

Aha ya so I set my new year's resolution as "finishing the art I start". And for the first time in my life, I have. I'm still project hopping but I'm keeping it restrained to like four rotating projects so they all get done in about a week or two. Joining this website helped me too. My family doesn't get me or my art, so finding a place that's just for it, and where people GET IT, it's such an amazing feeling. I finally feel appreciated and like I belong, so I actually feel a drive to finish my art an post it now. And the best part is that I can do it anonymously. I get to be who I want here, a kind artist with potential, not the dissapointment who wrecks everything she touches that my family sees everyday. It's amazing. Haha cabin fever. Gotta pat myself on the back for that one. XD *pat pat* are you kidding? Depressing? Oh how I only wish I could shut off this stupid noisy thinker. I drive myself insane with all the thoughts in there.

Aaah, New Year's resolutions, I totally missed that - completely forgot that something like resolutions exist. Quess this year is going to be a complete mess... so basicaly, nothing changes for me. XD Yours is a nice resolution, good luck with keeping that up! Oh, it's kinda sad when your family doesn't support you in what you love doing; I'm glad for you you've found this site! My family more or less doesn't pay any attention to my art, beside my sis - we just support each other, I'm really lucky to have her. :3 There's no better motiviation to actually finish your art then when there's someone out there who wants to see it, I feel you on that, dA also helps me a lot with that! ^^
No, really, it's incredibly depressing having your head empty of any thoughts whatsoever... though it really depends on what I'm doing I guess, 'cause sometimes I'm just unable to stop all the thoughts flooding my brain, when I'm trying to sleep for instance, it really drives me crazy; so I think I know what you mean. XDΒ

You are not. I've been trying to clear out my inbox (200 messages from one group alone-why did I join them?) and working on my art so didn't even care about replies. My sister supports me in my drawings as of late so that's nice. Bedtime is...I have to fall asleep with the tv on (a program I pretty much have memorized, a DVD with anime recordings or movie) so my brain turns off. If there's silence my brain won't stop turning. I just focus on the words I already know and eventually bore my brain to sleep. You could try that.

No problem. You could also try other things to help you fall asleep faster. You can try hot milk with honey and vanilla (if you're up for that) or a cup of your favorite tea or cocoa or whatever (just no caffeine things) and read a book. Or just find something, some kind of bedtime routine that teache your brain "shut off". For me, I don't curl up under my covers until I'm ready to conk out. So when my body is covered, my brain reacts with "shut down time." Or another personal favorite of mine-fantasizing. It sounds like your keeping yor mind active, but really, you kill (lull! oh my gosh BAD TYPO!! good thing I caught that) yourself to sleep. I like to fantasize about being in my favorite animes.
