i think it depends on story...l would say they are eating mostly berries, fruits and veggies..but now and than they need some meat..since most part of them are horse having a horse diet more or less..but they can endure meat since they also have a human part but not as much as a human maybe.

Thank you for your input. That does make a lot of sense, too. I simply realized that somehow, though many stories talk about interactions of humans and centaurs they don't really say what the centaurs would be eating. So now I have a better idea. Thank you very much.
