Description Zira as a cub and in my story she is not born into a evil pride or a princess..she is just a common cub to a common lioness in pridelands, her mother is low in rank. When Zira is young she is bestfriends with Sarabi, but as Sarabi is picked to be the new queen she is to choose between Zira and her new ''approved'' friends.Β

she was banned by Simba..but i think she originally was a prideland lioness..its also why she is bitter about being banned. She dont hate Simbas so much for Scar, it was only a reason to hate them more. being thrown out of your own home i think would be very bitter.Β

I like the idea of Zira succumbing to darkness later in her life but I don't believe a lioness such as Sarabi would abandon her friend

sarabi dont abandon Zira, but as the next queen Sarabi has to take over the hunt party and as she is just new to the task most of the hunters in the queens party is higher ranked lionesses Zira is not one of them or Ziras mother aint high enough. Sarabi wants to be queen so she can lay down new laws like these but before she can change she needs to play by the rules. She does play and stick with Zira during the time she is not suppose to act like a queen. But also in this royal hunt party Sarabi befriends Sarafina zwho in the beginning seems to be way too happy and naive but they grow a bond as they become the best hunters in the partyΒ

Good idea but I don't think lions have ranks.

They have a heirachy in the pride. There is a very vague social system in a pride. The females are generally all of a similar ranking, however some prides do have a particularly dominant female. The males, in general, are different to the females. Whilst the females are all on parr with one another, there is a clear dominant male in a pride, with the other males being more submissive to him. He is also responsible for fending off threats, or ridding the pride of unwanted male cubs. Whilst it may seem that the male is often higher in rank than the females, it is simply because of his larger size, and his strength, which allows him to dominate them, however if more than one female bands together, he tends to submit to them. So obviously from this, the females are more dominant, and the male is for breeding and protection, but he is of a lower rank. And as with there often being a more dominant female, usually physically more dominant, there is always a more submissive female than the rest, who cannot put up such a fight as the rest.

Either way, this is the lion king, and in the lion king there were obvious ranks... but that's a different matter, haha xD

yeah true, and also most animals who lives in a herd or pack tend to have some sort of ranks. horses has them, dogs, wolves, apes, monkeys, humans (even when we try to think we are not) birds,..elephants..even if it seems to be a very moderate rank in some, there has to be a one leader for a herd to survive. prey animals survive on it, if the leader fails to alarm it can mean death to the herd, or it can lead to issues they cant solve. most herd and packs works together.Β

precisely. Even cross species have ranks. for example if you own dogs, in order for your dog to obey you, it must view you as their alpha.

Yus, it's sad. I have always studied an animal's behavior before adopting one.

people simply ignore the signs animals give. and dont understand that most things that bother us can and will bother them too..what hurts us will also hurt them..and what makes us happy will make them happy..in terms of what your willing to do to make that animals life good and best it can be.Β
