Observations
Since the last update on July 23, 2019 , the numbers have gone up as usual. sakimichan continues dominating the #1 spot with an added watcher count of 24,547 in this period. This timey, wlop came in a distant second, adding only 13,768 watchers since the last time we checked. dandonfuga made the biggest jump in the period yet again, going from #89 up to an astonishing #67. Three artists fell out of the top 100 during this time (redjuice999 , burdge , and heise ) and we have three artists joining the top 100 (TamberElla , tsuaii, and faestock ). More Information
In the journal entry celebrating DeviantART's 15th birthday , the top 10 deviants by watcher count was included. Before that, there wasn't really a toplist anywhere else. It falls to the community to build it's own list. I gathered the initial names through Google-Fu and wading through a lot of DevART pages. It's the perfect project for crowd-sourcing.

There's lots of reasons why a top list is useful. I'm a bit of a stat geek so I just like knowing stuff like this. I hope to keep this list updated over time to maintain its usefulness. Any help is definitely appreciated. Special thanks to danlev who checked the numbers against the database to confirm they were accurate back in July 2014 and again in March 2018. The initial lists were only the top 50. I expanded the list to 100 with a later revision. While I haven't gotten confirmation for these newer revisions, I'm reasonably sure they are accurate.
