Description
This is the outlined process of creating a rare on WindRose

I start with a sketch (this one was a particularly nice sketch, usually they are pen scribbles in the margins of my notes)

Then I do my first Inking pass
The second inking pass lets me weight lines as needed, and cover sloppy ness
Then I do a base color
followed by Blocking out the largest sections in different colors
The blocked sections let me select and shade much easier, not to mention coloring later on. With blocking selection I don't have to worry about shading the wrong part by mistake
and finally I throw color on the blocked sections, and patterns.

If I'm using light colors I like to color the shading and lineart to make it pop a little more. I usually leave the shading as black for darks or earth tones
