Isn't changing up the base considered frankendolling? Plus,I don't want to use actual base,just use it as a reference. Using a base and referencing is not the same,so that's why I'm asking for permission.

No, frankendolling is where you put together different parts of other bases to make one base. I don't know why you're bringing that up all of the sudden. You're allowed to change it up [That's what you call using the base as a guideline, lol.]
You're free to use it as a reference, no one's stopping you. Literally everyone does it. And yes, if you are referencing the base then it is considered referencing[I know referencing and tracing a base isn't the same? That's obvious knowledge most people should know.]
But that's why I told you "This base is free to use, as are all of my bases." <-- That means you're free to USE the base. As in you can USE it as reference, you can USE it to trace. The artist will likely never reply to you, anyway. This base is free to use for whatever you want, likely as long as you aren't doing it for commercial use.
Sorry if I sound rude, I just truly don't know how to explain this very well.
