My second entry for ~kankakanka and *PearlEden 's "elements" contest.The wings were so fun. I guess this would go under wind/sky as the element?
Tools: micron pen, prismacolour pencils, white gel pen, white and blue watercolour

this is pretty! the legs and hooves look a little small. i like it! i love the hair colors of the mane. and i love the wings! i liek the sparkly part!

Thank you! Yeah, I know I should. I just had this image in my head using that pose, but I should have done something different, I don't know what posessed me. I'm also trying to not look at her pictures as much when I'm colouring and just do my own thing.

I don't think it's a bad thing or anything like that, but I really loved your style before when you didn't use Kanka's work as reference. Perhaps you could a take a little bit of yours and a little bit of hers and see what happens? And there's nothing wrong with wanting to be like your favourite artist - I'm sure she's flattered you want to draw like her! I hope I didn't come across as rude Emily, I was worried you'd take my comment the wrong way.

I didn't realize it had changed that much. Could it be since I started fixing up the scans and making them look cleaner or just the style in general? Don't worry, you didn't sound rude at all. I like recieving feedback of my art from good artists like you.
