I'm barely containing a squeal here. It's got such a great darkness to it perfect for the Unseelie courts. I'm still in love with your faeries.

Yay! ^__^ If I get settled and calm enough to paint i really want to keep working on this tonight, or make new faeries in general!

Which books could you recommend?
I've read A Modern Tale of Faerie [the entire series] by Holly Black, and haven't been able to find any others that are written as well.

No it's tricky to find. I tried to read a book called "switched" also about a changeling but I hated it. It really had none of that dark feeling the modern faerie tale books have. Most of the stories I've read are short ones illustrated by swedish artist John Bauer. Really old and dark tales for children originally. I really want to find more but it's a bit tricky.

Yes, we need more modern tale writers, they're the most interesting by far.
Also, Switched kinda reminded me of a toned-down Faerie version of Twilight. [Not that I've read the books myself]
Pretty shitty all in all.

Very much twilight (but I'd say it's worse) I stopped reading after half the book and it had just gotten worse and worse x__X

Yeah, the characters were so two dimensional.
And the romance aspect, blech. EVERYTHING was pretty much perfect, the looks, the houses, and.......that's just now how life is. :I

I wouldn't touch Twilight with a ten foot pole. If you want a good vampire series pick up Laurell K. Hemilton's Anita Blake series.

It's one of those things you want to burn but are too afraid of contagion to actually touch.

Ohoho I would be scared shitless if I were confronted by a creature with those eyes. (and one that would challenge me to riddles. I am horrible at those.) Those eyes are just beautiful, I love it when eyes seem to shine by themselves, like a glow emanates from within the person and has no need of any external light. UuU

Ah man eyes are great to paint. I could paint the person's skin in a minute but, the eyes take so much time. It's not only fun but, it's important for me, eyes conceal so much. UuU

Awesome! Have you read the Modern Faerie Tale series by Holly Black? They're my favourite books and they feature the Seelie and Unseelie - I'd recommend them!

Yes! I even made it a school project to illustrate the first book. I haven't been able to find any other books I love that much :3 This was really inspired by that feel.
