Day 10 of the #aprilartchallenge . Today the topic is "Puffin on a Cliff". A4 sized watercolour on Daler-Rowney 300 gram paper, also with paint by the same brand.Related content

This is an incredibly charming piece depicting one of the most charmingly pleasant birds in the world.
There is a wonderful use of color across the image from the foremost puffin to the ones lining the bluff behind it. It really allows the viewer's eye to travel across the piece from the foremost puffin and then outwards to explore across the entirety of the piece to view the cliff with its sharp contrast of grass and cliff face as well as the softer colors used for the sky and ocean above and below.
There's a certain warmth and charm to the piece which is at once very soothing whilst also bringing forth a vibrancy across the piece.
