Excellent art!
But why IV? The card doesn't really fit the meaning associated with the 4 of any suit in the actual Tarot deck.

It was made as part of an art contest Wizards of the Coast sponsored at Worth1000 back when 4th edition first came out, using the then-current beholder redesign. It's a Type IV Beholder.
