I love the trees in the background.
I like how he seems genuinely happy, as opposed to having one of those condescending smiles he so often wears. He's irritating on so many levels.
I'm not the squiggles on his clothes work as well here as they did in the piece with Morgoth. The shading's awesome. And I like the murky teal tint you've given the piece. It works. It's very Murkwoody, which suits him well.

I find that I do my best work in the wee hours of the morning. For some reason that's when my brain goes into hyper drive. It's a good time to experiment.
Hmm... I used to frequent a writing site, and there a lot of great writers there. (The Moderators ruined it.) Anyways, there was saying 'there's perfect piece,' and it was a common courtesy to notice things (good or bad) and point them out, and suspect that's where it comes from. Though I have to admit, when it comes to drawings, and digital art- especially digital art, I'm very hesitant to say anything. I wouldn't say I notice every detail though... not by a long shot. If I stare at something long enough I'll start to notice.

You know, I have no idea how to use paterns in programs so every little effect or shape you see I draw it with my hand on the humble tablet I own. And it's not the same with drawing in paper. Besides, this one I made right after doing young Legolar, so it was late and I was tired already. It's nice when people notice details but it makes me nervous sometimes. I am not perfect or even a real artist.
