This was the best tutorial I could find, I can't see it anymore though. It doesn't show up the full thing, just the title.

Sorry if this sounds really sill, but how did you get the brush with the sharp pointed ends like the one in this tutorial. All of the brushes I have rounds ends...Sorry if this sounds silly, but I am very new when it comes to all things photoshopy

etuix In reply to xxZutaraFanxx [2010-02-04 18:02:36 +0000 UTC]

You need a tablet and use pen pressure to get the pointy ends. You can also use an eraser to remove some of the ends of the lines to make them look pointy n-n

xxZutaraFanxx In reply to etuix [2010-02-05 11:16:28 +0000 UTC]

Thanks...I tried to add the pressure thing but it just isn't working...*sigh*

Which tablet do you use?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

xxZutaraFanxx In reply to etuix [2010-02-06 23:55:40 +0000 UTC]

It says trust....I know it's not as good as the Wacom but when I test it or use it on paint, I get the tip ends and the pressure thing works just fine but in PS I just can't seem to get the tipped ends.........

*sigh*

etuix In reply to xxZutaraFanxx [2010-02-07 01:10:08 +0000 UTC]

Paint doesnt have pen pressure.. n-n''

I always say never trust Trust.. Try reinstalling it. I never got the pen pressure to work on my Trust tablet.
I got a Wacom and it works perfectly fine! Wacom Bamboos are pretty cheap! ^^

Blyu-dono [2009-08-11 22:48:13 +0000 UTC]

question! prepare yourself!

what does locking do?

whats the purpose of expanding in the getting ready to color step?

also whats the purpose of the red coloring if thats not the basis color and you color over it?

i've done digital art before but you could say in a very.... choppy way.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

etuix In reply to Blyu-dono [2009-08-12 08:00:51 +0000 UTC]

Locking the layer makes sure you can only color the pixels that are in the layer.

if you don't expand you will have a tiny border of color around your lines. By expanding it you will get rid of that little line around it.

I use a darker weird color so I can see the gaps that I missed. f you take a light color you don't see that.

Practice makes perfect ^^

I don't know how to open my photoshop, because I downloaded it, and can't open it!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blyu-dono In reply to chessy-cat [2009-08-12 00:08:48 +0000 UTC]

:I What? OK well photoshop DOES require a product code and if you didnt get one in download well i guess it cant be activated. where ever you got it from you might need that code.(where DID you get it from? lol)

if its some trail version or maybe a free porgram first off you might have downloaded it but where did you save it to? if its there its probably hidden itself (more like you've hidden it lol XD) in the confines of your computer. if thats what you mean.. >A>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chessy-cat In reply to Blyu-dono [2009-08-12 17:46:24 +0000 UTC]

I got a folder and unzipped it, but after that I'm lost on how to open it. And... yeah, I don't think they gave me a product code. This is what happens when you look up photoshop on google and try to download it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Blyu-dono In reply to chessy-cat [2009-08-12 18:01:22 +0000 UTC]

indeed it is. so you cant open it at all? no triple clicking or right clicking? lol

just try gimp or something like that. they're free programs that work just like photoshop and dont cost a cent. [link]

:I you'd probably have to get a really good source or torrent hidden from google because obviously such things are as illegal as limewire.

even better find someone with photoshop and get there CD or at least a copy and get their code. a friend, or maybe get to know a computer nerd :I there are plenty of them and they have their sources.

chessy-cat In reply to Blyu-dono [2009-08-12 18:07:23 +0000 UTC]

I can open the file that says "PHOTOSHOP" but I don't know what I'm supposed to click within that file enabling me to use it....Thanks for the link. I might just delete the folder off my computer anyway, because It's making it run slow.

Blyu-dono In reply to chessy-cat [2009-08-12 18:12:22 +0000 UTC]

.......................

ok thats your problem?? maybr you should give me s screen shot of the folder so i can help you here XD.

computer running slow? :I you might have too much memory esp if its an old compy. that means its time to get rid of some old files. >A> that or something else....
