Backstory: Lucien is the reincarnated Lucemon of the Digital World. In this life, Lucemon grew up on a small farm under the care of a human tamer with no memory of his previous life. The human, Aaron, raised fresh and in-training digimon until they were strong and well-behaved enough to be given to other responsible hackers and tamers. They had purchased Lucien’s egg off the black market to save him from potential abuse, unaware of who the digimon inside was. Lucemon hatched as a Poyomon, then digivolved to Tokomon and stalled in that form for some time. Aaron assumed that Tokomon was simply a late bloomer, until they got into a fight with a feral digimon which resulted in the Tokomon’s evolution to Lucemon Rookie in order to protect Aaron. Aaron was understandably stunned, but not upset by the evolution. The other digimon, however, seemed less pleased. Aaron was told of the actions of the original Lucemon, but despite this, firmly held that they partner was not evil. They consulted their friend Yako, who told them that Lucemon was most likely the result of a natural– albeit rare– evolution. Standing by their partner, Aaron refused to turn Lucemon over to any authority to be destroyed, and as such was charged with responsibility for him.
Lucemon was a kind, if sometimes mischievous rookie. He grew smart and strong very quickly. But Aaron was reluctant to adopt him out to any other hackers, for fear of him being misused. As such, Lucemon became a permanent resident and caretaker at the farm. And over time, he and Aaron grew extremely close. There continued to be concern from other digimon as to whether or not he would become evil, and go the way of the original Lucemon. Some even sought to separate him from his tamer. But Aaron and a select few other digimon vouched for Lucemon’s piety, and protected him from deletion. Lucemon became keenly aware of the stigma surrounding him as he grew older, after experiencing many negative interactions because of what he is. Though he learned to take this attitude with a grain of salt most times.
This attitude finally began to ease with the debut of Lucemon’s Holy Mega, and the defeat of his Dark Data which was left to linger in the Digital World. Since his defeat of his corrupted half, his memories have begun to slowly return. But he is still mostly without knowledge of the details of his previous life. He remains loyal to Aaron, and has made a home with them, as they proved they would stand by him no matter what. He happily proclaims Aaron as his tamer, tho Aaron prefers to refer to them as Partners.
Lucemon loves taking care of the young ones, and has helped raise many model digimon, a few of whom he became close friends with. He is extremely protective, and will step in if there is ever a situation that Aaron or the other digimon caretakers cannot handle. He is Aaron’s lasts line of defense for the farm, as well as a night watchman.
Character Summary: Lucemon is precocious, curious, and often mischievous. He loves to eat, and even as a Tokomon would frequently be caught rummaging through the pantries when he wasn’t supposed to be. He still does this from time to time, despite having free access to the food. Lucemon was slow to evolve, and saw several fresh hatchlings reach champion and ultimate before he even reached rookie. So, despite him technically being “older,” several of his friends digivolved long before he did. This has earned him many nicknames such as “munchkin,” “peanut,” and “shorty,” though he only tolerates it from certain individuals. It does not help his case that he is small for his species (an already small ultimate) because of broken and incomplete data from his reboot. He also still has and uses the small blanket he had as a Tokomon (though he does his best not to let anyone see it). Lucemon is used to being pestered and even threatened because of what he is, to the point where he rarely gets angry about it. This has made him something of a recluse, however. Though if someone he cares about is threatened, especially Aaron, he will very quickly put himself in harms way to defend them. He has also started becoming more social after achieving Holy Mode and regaining some of his confidence. He is very intelligent, but often brash, and doesn’t always consider the consequences of his actions. Despite his intellect, he also has moments of being rather absent minded, and is somewhat forgetful due to his broken data. He loves working on the farm, and enjoys taking care of the young ones, but often has trouble socializing with other adult level digimon. Lucemon is fiercely loyal, and will defend those he cares about with everything he has. He tends to act stand-offish with new people to avoid seeming soft, but this act is easily seen through by anyone who knows him. He tries not to give out his trust too easily, but his desire to give everyone the benefit of the doubt leads him to do otherwise, sometimes getting him in trouble if the other has less than good intentions. He is very aware that other people expect him to be evil, and strives to prove this expectation wrong. His biggest fear is that he will fail to do so.
