Description I'm so happy with how this piece turned out. After talking to *j3concepts , my concept finally fitted in and worked. It wasn't my origonal idea, probably better actually. The vector is of a photo by ~eark , the ground is from a photo I took, and all the vector work is mine.

Nice! How did you get around the drawing of the girl? Did you take an actual photo and then 'toon' it?

I'm just looking into other ways of doing things Want to widen my horizons if you get me, very awesome designs and idea's you have here.

hey thanks dude. yeah its jsut a photo and i used illustrator brushes with a more rugged appearance to give it that less realistic look. =rockst3ady has good pieces like this, cept she does all the line thinknesses manually :S but good inspiration. good luck with it!

hehe thanks man! yeah i like this one best. its my most origonal piece i wanna see what i can create with the cam too! i enjoy vector and raster combinations so im looking forward to refining that style!

this is a nice combination of vector art (or something like this) and a real photo. The combination looks quite as it was all "real" once... I mean, as the girl really sat there... (as I'm thinking about it...this could be true ) hehe

when i see works like these, i gotta apreciate them for the good design and for the work you had on it.
i think the colors are great man. good choice to use those "washed" colors on the background, she stands out on the composition very well... sweaping lines fit very well as in looks, as in meaning. they look like part of a breeze that passes as time does while the waiting.

Absolutely fantastic.

Although this isnt a comment about your piece..i thought i'd share it anyway....i can really relate to this particular piece as i often go down to the lake near my house in all hours of the night and sit on the swings...im not really waiting for love....but i just enjoy the peace and solitude that i get from it.
