Man I love the fire of his eyes, such a bold expression of contempt! The gas like effect or ethereal feel that could be part of his power is amazingly well done effect too! Plus the look of the armor is very well detailed. I must also add the shadowing gives him perfect dimension and adds depth to the image!
The hair is also highlighting perfectly, as is the style of the look. This is a very rich looking character in style giving it a powerful feel and a wonder to where the story behind him well take you next! Awesome flow to the design of all the things set in this image Perfectly presented!

The rendering of the figure is fine, the lightsource seems to be a bit scattered and even though it's in multiple directions (if that's how you want to depict it) then I think one should be stronger than the other.
The main thing that really stood out to me though was the fact that the foreshortened arm, thus the giant hand, looks out of place because the focus seems to be around the face, so the hand is an afterthought and looks giant and not closer to the viewer. I'd say the pose needs to be reworked or the hand needs to be smaller because as it stands right now it looks odd and not very dynamic.

It is nice to see a truly talented artist still looking for pointers on how to improve. As you are one of my idols, this might be hard... but here goes.
Your work is absolutely amazing, and I am sure you hear more praise than you care to... and if I rate your work compared with other works, I would have to give you a nearly perfect score... (the only weak area being originality) but that, I feel, isn't what you are looking for, so I will compare this image against other works I have seen by you.
Vision, that is a difficult category, but to me, it is about the image telling the viewer something, and about composition. The composition is excellent, with great contrast and color balance mood lighting palette... you name it, but the statement is not as strong. All this picture conveys is a good looking tough guy with cool gear on, which of course is great, but I have seen many of your works state more than that.
Originality: though you are better at it than just about everyone I know of of the top of my head, I have to say that in truth, this theme has been done, and though the pose is probably entirely your own, similar poses and angles and what not have also been done. Not to say the work is unoriginal, it just isn't the most unique piece I've seen, least of all by you.
Technique: Flawless except for one thing: you can correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like that background is just a black image with some sort of fractal slapped on... or it could have been done with photoshop filters, as I have created a very similar look playing with filters and scribbling. It is cool looking, but it looks like it was just attached as an afterthought, which weakens the overall look. Of course, everything about the figure itself is perfection incarnate.
Impact: The image really catches attention, and he demands recognition, so while it is weak in originality, it still holds my attention. Not as well as other works you have done, but not bad at all.
Suggestions: Integrate the background and the figure more, or leave the background very simple. Try to make a bit more of a statement from time to time with your works, it will increase the impact, give it a stronger sense of vision, and help to make your work more original. As I have said, pretty boys being cool looking trough looking has been done before... but if you don't mind that the theme is a common one, then this image is rather perfect.

It has a magial look about it in the background that really catches my eye, and the same magiclikeness as he prepares to grasp the, ah weapon. That in combination with what i feel is an almost dark smugness or dark determination, that emits from his eyes gives this an overall feel like he is accepting a challenge from someone what he knows he's better than.

Sorry My dear I do not have a premium Account otherwise I would have given you a crit. But I will still give you one even if I can not.
First off I really love your composition love. He isn't directly in the middle and since he is leaning he is giving himself enough negative space to make the composition look that much more fluid. Following his ribbon that leads from the end to his hair I know it is a small detail but others with bad eyes like me sometimes >< can't really see where the band actually wraps around his forehead. Now of course it might be there and it may just have blended with his skin. So I apologize since I, personally, don't see it.
You excel in your details yet again. I am always drawn to it like I am sure many of your other viewers are here. From his hair, to his armor, to the nails and weapon in his hand. I do noticed the very small blue spark from the nail more than likely hitting more metal. The other lighting effects are also very well done. It looks like a smoke like aura emitting from his body very slowly. It would be nice to have that wave only attached to the man's body Or staying close to the body rather than spreading like it started to do.
The color scheme is fine and very comfortable especially since it isn't screaming at us from a black background. Not all the time should a loud and colorful image be used with a black background. These neutral tones with the hint of rustic gold and that small spark of blue make this image one couldn't help but gaze in awe.
Overall this is very well thought out and down right beautifully put together. You get a 5/5 from me hands down. Please continue to make beautiful artwork that makes us all gaze in amazement. Such a beautiful talent should never go to waste.
