When you think about it, they are SUPPOSED to be disturbing. In the mythology, they are the absolute bastard, hybrid, unnatural species. First off, they were basically created by personnified sin and blasphemy (a lusty, murderous king who tried to get the goddess of mariage to commit adultere and ended up mating with a cloud). They also impersonate wildness, savagery, adultery, rape and so on with their own deeds... positive figures like Chiron being exceptions.
So, yeah, you're right, and that's the point ^^ I don't mean that everyone should find them disturbing, we're no longer Ancients, but they were meant to be.

Ah I see. However, I just don't see why "wildness" and "savagery" is a sin; I don't agree with that at all, but maybe it's how you define it.
Still, I personally don't find them pleasant to look at.
But as I clarified in the comments already, people don't have to agree with me. It's just my personal perception, which I feel- I have the right to voice.

Well, I might have used the wrong words, or not given them enough context. By "wildness", I meant people who refuse any social rules, or any positive relationships, prefering to do as they wish even (or especially) if it hurts others. And by "savagery", cruelty. I'm not a native speaker so I guess I was influence by words in my language and got it slightly of the mark. I didn't mean 'being outside mainstream' or 'not belonging to the human race', if that's what you thought. In most texts I read, used words to describe centaurs are more animalistic than those used to describe hateful humans because, while most humans characters have reasons to act the way they do, centaurs are inherently alien and have no reason to act, not even for the fun of it. So 'animalistic' words allow to relate to a world supposedly more strange to most readers than 'humanistic' words. Like, one normally is used to walking on two legs, but might need some trial and error before having some physical sense of what it is to be a quadruped, right?
Of course! I just love to discuss topics. And to wonder the 'whys' and 'hows'. I basically said your opinion was fully understandable and backed you, didn't I?

I think I respect your opinion.

I've always struggled with 'taur anatomy. Where do the internal organs go? How does the spine work between two sets of rib cages? How the heck does their digestive system work? I still draw 'taurs, but I wonder about such things, and they bug me.
On the subject of people getting bent over other folks opinions. It's not rude for people to disagree about what is attractive to them. I like anthros, I have no problem that other folks don't, until they attack me personally for my preferences.
As you say. "... everybody is entitled to voice their own opinion..."

Yeah thanks, indeed that's what puzzled me as well.
And indeed, that's why I made the stamp that said that I find them disturbing - clearly stating that this a personal opinion, instead of saying that they are disturbing.
Maybe it's not nice to make stamps like this, but then...if I want to show my opinons on my own profile - then a stamp can help.

This is pretty rude. You're free to not like them, but don't bash them as a character concept/idea. A lot of people find them graceful and beautiful. This tag here, and your description? It would be like someone telling you they find your felines disturbing and repulsive.
I didn't realize you were so judgemental of a person until some of these stamps you've uploaded. I'm not going to support someone like that. Unwatching.

I didn't know that having an opinion on a mythological creature makes you a horrible judgmental person lol

I could have made a stamp: "centaurs ARE distrubing"- but I didn't; I said specifically that "I find them disturbing" - thereby stating that this is MY opinion and not a general fact.
Moreover; they are not someone's personal original species. I would never ever make a stamp like this about someone's original species nor judge them because that is attacking someone on a much more personal level, and that, I find rude.
And yes really rude people have said that about siderians.
And no, I'm in general not a judgemental person, but for ONCE I felt like saying something my own opinions.

He already said that this is his personal opinion. Which, to be fair, you know nothing about the reasons that really stand behind it. What is rude is you attacking him for stating his honest opinion. No one forces that opinion on you nor forces you to consider him. In my book, you're the one being judgemental.
P.S. And I say as someone who has always liked centaurs.
