I wanted to upload this before i went to bed, so i wont be able to reply to comments til tomorrow.I needed to do one decent picture before the end of 2009, since the past few pictures have basically been spam.
SO, I have admired *malikaa for god knows how long, her style and artwork always inspired me and i've been meaning to draw her something for a while now.
I decided to finally get off my butt and give her this, she's such a nice person as well as a fantastic artist, i'm glad i got to meet her in person back at the London expo! :3

I use the basic hard round brush for sketching and inking, but for colouring and backgrounds I mostly use the 'Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow' brush ;D

THESTRIPES. <333 God I just adore how you paint markings. ;.; They always look so blendy, but not blurred, and they appear to wrap around the creature's muscles. Skillz you has them.
The poses you draw are lovely. This one has little subtle things that some people just don't think of when drawing. The pointed foot at the front, the slight angle to the hind right leg, wow. It's all lovely! <333
Looovee that background with the long, winding path. The colours just set such a stunning atmosphere.

At first I was going to paint them as solid stripes but it just doesn't look right when i do it, it's the same with cell shading, i just can't do it! xD
I love stripes...i mean 90% of my characters have stripes! :'D
I try to put personality into even the simplest poses, I don't want the character to seem hollow, i want emotion and life! C:

Oh lord this is SO awesome. I LOVElove it when you do BGs on things and DAMN I love the way you play with lighting. I love how the reds bounce off of the mountains and the orangey lava-light comes in and affects Mars like that. It's all shimmery on his gorgeous muscles. Bahhh I love how you colored him. Straight up. Lookit how lovely her is with his pretty muscles and his awesome expression. Amazingness, luffmuffin. Just awesomeeeee. <3333

Backgrounds, crazy lighting, manes and muscles have got to be some of my favourite areas to work with. Even if it's a doodle i seem to get hooked on detailing the muscles, I love it, creating tone from what were once flat colours is always.....I dunno, i just love it :3
This year i'm gonna do my best to work on backgrounds alot more than i have done as of late C:
