There, two of my characters, Sahhl and Valenvy, from a comic I may or may not ever make.
I’m not yet sure that I’m a hundred percent satisfied with their designs, but I really wanted
to draw them.. so there they are.
And.. holy shit. Is that a background?! Why yes, yes it is.

It took me a bit to actually get to comment but here it is (not that it will be amazing, hahah).
Anyways, I love your color usage, for sure. I am always drawn by earth tones that have a warm tone to them. I love the interaction between these two characters; seemingly relaxing, with a mixture of playful and curious. I think it just strikes a cord in me to see such breathtakingly simple moments. I am sure with most stories the world is in peril and everything is going nuts, but even if it isn't, I love drawings that capture the everyday and make it seem fantastical, wonderful, and mystical. As though it has given new life to the world, and the "cliche" reminder to "appreciate the small things."
I hope to see more of these two characters. c: I am a sucker for elf/human relationships. ♥♥

Yes! They have such a lovely chemistry, for sure. Ah, I know what that is like! Fanart tends to get more feedback because people are already on board with the fandom and just like seeing people draw their favorite characters. But it can be much harder for people to even get feedback on their OC's since they aren't "invested" in them, or they just don't particularly care to comment, which I also know what that is like.
But no worries; I will make sure to do my best to comment on ALL of them just so everyone will start going, "YEAH THESE ARE AWESOME WE SHOULD ALL LEAVE COMMENTSSS." Hahah or something like that. Because truly, your characters are so interesting to look at. c: I hope to see more of your OC's in the future. ♥

Dear lord, you're just brilliant at brightening peoples day, aren't you~
But, you really don't have to comment on all of them (not that I'd
mind at all though~), just the ones you like, or want to critique.
But I don't blame people at all for not commenting on the OC's. I
rarely get much feedback in general.. probably, because I'm so lousy
at giving anything myself. I really want to, I just never know what
to say, 'couse, all that goes through my head is like "hot damn, this
is beautiful", and I'm kinda worried to just seem a bit annoying.

Ah, I see. Well, regardless, just because you don't comment a ton doesn't necessarily mean it isn't warranted for your own work. I know I comment quite a bit, considering, but I don't get as much feedback as I'd like. But, I take it in stride because, honestly, I like my own OC's so if no one else does--they still have me. c:
Hahah well then simply say that! I get comments that are often one word sentences, so saying at least four is almost like a conversation! I don't think, at least from my perspective, it would be annoying at all for someone to be so exuberant about my work to comment "hot damn." If anything it would give me a good hearty laugh and a much needed smile. Either way, it does pain me to see such great character creation go almost entirely un-talked about. I think everyone wants to share about their characters on some level and commenting is a great way to open up those conversations.
If you ever want to discuss oc's or other random odds and ends feel free to send me a note or comment--I will gladly rant and rave about anything as I open the same opportunity to you as well!
