A very evocative and wistful panorama. At first glance, you might be under the false impression that this snowed in landscape has no distinguishing features, but a sense of place (accurate or imagined, does it matter ?) gradually takes hold of your mind and refuses to let go. The vast horizon, the low-rise buildings of the town, the encircling fir trees and, above it all, the pale but still unconquered wintry sun... something fascinating there.
