I made both of these, with some help from my so-full-of-exams girlfriend, who cured her own alien-like wig and the stars of her corset, plus some insides and some basic shapes.

MADE IN TWO WEEKS. 15+ hours of work per day. In my house. With my mortal hands. And my sewing machines.
Tons of taffettà, gold trim, acrylic paint, foam stars, patience, sweat, blood, love, MY OWN BONES.

All fabrics have been painted with golden stars with stencil method (stencils made by me out of plastic sheets) and handpainted for the bigger decorations, such as moons, suns (there’s one huge big sun, almost 36 inches, inside Yuuko’s skirt, but you can’t see it when she’s not sitting… and it took me 3+ hours of painting) and golden smoke. Every painting detail has some major precision work with glitter and puffy color in gold/black shades.
There are over 280 feet of golden embroidery all over both dresses and more than 200 foam stars in all the jewels, earrings, earpieces and belts. All have been cut BY HAND. No pre-made shapes.
Tassels have been made by me out of wool and painted with spray method.
Also Yuuko’s fan has been made by me, plus the bottle, plus her pipe.
I styled my own shoes out of nothing (for Watanuki has nooooo feet in the reference picture).
Intense tailoring.

YES I DID NOT HAVE MY GLASSES IN THIS PHOTOSHOOT BUT I LEFT THEM IN THE DRESSING ROOM.
Have a half-blind Watanuki and enjoy.

Oh and yes. The Shamisen is a fake one made by me.
