Description Well, being in Lum with some best space artists is itchy you know? Especially I actually drew alots of planets and space and intergalactic things in my childhood (with painter application in Windows 3.1, what a pain in ass).

So, on my way for the EVE contest, I think I must remember how much I love those stars, and this is my very very first space art, with half of hours scanning through starfield and planet tutorials and 3 hours actual painting with PS, hope it's not so bad.

It will be the background for my ship design, the story is a about a system with 2 suns and when they line up, they look like a water drop and burn the main barren planet to the point of uninhabitable, the only colony of system is nearby moon, on the dark face.

This is also a gift for sweetgirl meo meo Linh

hey, this is pretty cool! I like the colours (again, you're pretty good at them ), the lighting effects + the big planet, good work on that!

what's bothering me a bit, though, are the starfield, which is a bit too crowded and uniform and the smaller planet.
Now don't get me wrong, I like the texture and the planet itself. However its position is a bit unlucky as the sense of depth is a bit confusing to me; right now I'm not quite sure if it's further away or if its closer to us than the big planet upfront.

overall, it's a very solid work, and quite amazing considering this is your first space art!

Thank you, look like I'm trying to do concept art, speedpainting, matte painting, space art at the same time, so GREEDY!!!

Incredible and really colorful! Nice story too!
I'm a person who likes to critique though, so: though the city layout on the moon looks beautiful - it kind of looks like it's only a single city (as if seeing it from an airplane, and not from space). If that's exactly what you wanted because the moon is super small, then I bow down to your greatness. But if you wanted it to look like a moon with a massive city surface (i.e. Coruscant), you might want to use a slightly different technique to draw the city. But it looks AMAZING - I'm just being nit-picky.

I'm hypocritical though. I always tell others to never criticize anything they can't do better themselves, but here I am, doing exactly what I tell others not to do...

Haha Lum can do that XD.

Not bad for a first space piece, probably a tad unrealistic, but I kinda like it
