My friends think I'm crazy...staying up all night as I do. I can't really argue with them but things need to get done. I enjoyed this one and think it came out rather well for something that wasn't really planned or well thought out....or that could just be the onset of delirium.
For the topic 'Angels and Demons'...a little twist on an ancient concept.

Oh, wait, I see now that the angel has robes instead of armor -- man, I'm a visual idiot at times. The feathers confused me briefly. It's wonderful still, of course, especially with the folding. <3

I wish I had more time to be more subtle in my shading scheme where his left wing is concerned. But I couldn't think of anything beside a stark contrast in shade to complete the symbol.
I may attempt such a thing again in the future and perhaps be more successful.

Beautiful work. A nice blend of the traditional and the modern, and I love the angel's armor a *lot*. The demon's body-work is fantastic and as wild as it should be. He's beautiful and kind of terrible, and you can just hear him offering various temptations. I'd love to see even more along these lines, but -- heh. The truth? I just love seeing you draw *period*. *sends over some chocolate-covered coffee beans*

Thank you so much for your comments. I enjoy the more traditional illustrative pieces more and more these days. Though comics fueled my initial learning in the arts, classical themes have always been very inspirational. I enjoy going back and forth between such themes.

No deeper symbolism than blending two representations of opposites. And there is very little intention here, as I didn't know what I was going to do when I started...I'm glad it came out as well as it did despite my being so tired at the time.

i have a drawing that woke me up in the night. i was crying and in a lot of pain. it didnt stop untill i had drawn it out. it turned out to be what i think was lucifer.
