I think I do. But the question is what sets style apart from one another? Does it depend on what technique I've used or is it from my personal preference and experience? What I mean is, if I was to mimic another artist, what is it that I have to aply to my way of painting to achieve the same effect. I don't think there is a clean answer to this, but I think a great artist is not set to one style, though he might have a preferred one.

I think it is the technique which sets a style apart from another. The technique of an artist is a reason for the recall value in his works regardless what he is aiming for.
technique is a thing which lives in the depth and which sneaks in subliminally into the work I suppose.
