Why do I like drawing characters from games or shows that nobody remembers anymore? I dunno.Sparkster/Rocket Knight Adventures is copyright Konami

Kind of quick, but another experiment with backgrounds and more completed compositions.
Oddly enough, I just found out that the composer of the soundtrack to this game is Akira Yamaoka, the Sound Director behind Silent Hill and a large contributer to the Beatmania series. The More You Know.

Did you know that the name of Sparkster's mentor, Sanjuro Mifune, is an homage (to use a French word) to legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune, who played a ronin character named Sanjuro in the 1961 Akira Kurosawa-directed film Yojimbo?

Would someone please tell me why Sparkster is so underrated, and why wasn't he in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? He would have been an awesome character. Also the artwork is amazing.

oh, yeah, i rebember of this game! i played in a emulation! it was difficult! but i finish the game three time! and they always a difficult of more! and the last one was super extreme of doom! only one life and zero continue! yep, it was good!

Holy bologna meats I've been trying to find this game for years, and you made the thing I've been looking for into an amazing piece of art! Very nice job, really captures the feel of the game well. I played the SNES version when I was around eight I think, and haven't been able to find out what it was called until now. Really nice piece, a definite favorite.

I'm technically new to the series, but I agree he should be revived. The coloring ...makes him look as real as he is cartoony.

Note: Sparkster was trained by Sanjuro Mifune, whose name is clearly an homage to the late Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune, whose most memorable role is that of Kuwabatake/Tsubaki Sanjuro in the film "Yojimbo" (1961).
