Love the concept, I'm getting a peaceful feeling but potentially it could also be a bad place through there and they can't come back haha, but I feel that isn't the case 
The water looks lovely, and the clouds are quite interesting too
I must look into 3ds max sometime, it may prove very useful!

No it's fine, art like this is meant to not have an explanation, it's for the viewer to speculated n, it's what makes it so interesting, let's the imagination flow ^^ about what worlds might be beyond the door and what deeper meaning one can find in the image, identify with it in some way!

It kinda looks like refugees being given a new chance at life by entering through the gate.
This is like the tenth time maybe I've come back to look at this piece of work and I never thought of it with such meaning till now lol
