Description
"Hey young man? Your mom'n'dad? ...uh, sorry. OK, listen. The city's gonna fall. The resistance's fighting but the situation's pretty desperate. We're gonna join'em and put a stop to the enemy forces, so you go'n'escape. Over there's the evacuees, you join'em understand? OK, good. Now listen carefully. I know how you feel, but you gotta survive. Live, and be a strong man, so that someday you can protect your most loving. Got it? Okay, we gotta go...so, young man, talk to you later."They disappeared in the flames, never did I see them again.
A woman later told me, "Maybe they were just mercenaries, and would have got out after a skirmish." No, they didn't. I can tell his dignified tone of voice and divine aura that young winged lady wore. They would have died in the fight rather than dishonestly ran away. ...no, again. He said to me "Talk to you later." I believe they managed to survive.
Twenty years have passed and I had my 26th birthday yesterday with my wife and my kids.

This is a pretty powerful picture in its own right, but I think my favorite part has to be the text. It just... brings the whole thing to life so much. I love that. I love the way how I look at the image changes so enormously by reading the text. It's very... hopeful, and leaves me wanting to know more.
I also like the character designs quite a bit. I get a real sense of personality by looking at them. Every detail just fits into it perfectly.

the expressions you have on them are magnificent and the colors both in base, lighting and shading I think are perfectly done. and the lighting and shading are placed just right as well

I really like this picture. ^^ Of all your works I'm not sure exactly why this one caught my eye but it did. ^^ All the detail is amazing! And the expressions. I love the story behind it too, I couldn't help but to give you a fave. I love it when there's a story behind a character or drawing it makes it .... well, that much more awesome xD I try to do the same with my characters, but your art puts mine to shame xP

Magnificient. The fog is excelent and the chain/crucifix at the girl's hip is amazing. Also I really apreciate drawings that tells stories, it really adds to the experience. My only issue would be that the pommel of the guy's sword is somehow too small. Still an excelent drawing though.

For the pommel, it's a question of functinnality: In the thick of a battle the shaft gets covered with blood and becomes slippery, so in order to keep a good grip on your weapon you must either cover your shaft with an absorbent material or shark skin or have alarger pommel.
