I use the watercolors you buy in the tubes so it's stronger, more vibrant paint. lol, so kinda less water and more painting. [link]
Then the paper I just use a sketchbook. I just get the kind with a ton of pages that's thicker than computer paper so it won't wrinkle as much. They have better sketchbooks out there designed for watercoloring but they're spendy and less pages. lol

I just paint. Haha. Did the background first, and then painted the little guy with white water color paint.

I had no idea there was white. Negative is where you paint around what you see in your head and it works out awesome.... I can't do it
