Yours is a large view on a small canvas. Really fine that you achieve it.

I like your "House on the Hill" very much. Too much to be able to say more about it.

Interesting coincidence. I've been just starting to work in acrylic. I've done only a few over the years.
I found a bottle of Liquitex "Slow Dry Blending Fluid Medium" that must be 20+ years old. I don't think I ever used it. What I did was spray the acrylics with water to keep them wet. But I had cause to use this Liquitex medium and it still works. Try it!

Thank you! I bought Golden additive retarder the other day and when I added it to my paint it seemed to make it really gooey and thick making it hard to spread even after adding water to it. Maybe I added too much? I will have to experiment some more. I will however try the spray bottle and have heard of some people adding a bit of the retarder to the spray bottle's water. I prefer oil paint but all of the turpentines I have tried (even the odorless) give me headaches so I am really trying to find a way to use the wet on wet technique using acrylics.

Hi! Nice painting, nice colors too! It reports a bit of grief feeling... One observation: the sky line is pararell with the hill, which breaks a bit of it's natural freedom. You can remember this tip for the next ones!

Hey Giselle,
I really enjoy looking at this piece. I havent seen any of your other work yet, but I must say, I really enjoy your color usage and the way you handle the sunlight in the sky. Bravo. I am working more on my lighting in my work. I would love to be in this painting looking at that sky. You portrayed it well.
