Class 2 Exploration Exploit Vessel. TCCV-113, Distant Dreams.

Crew: 4-12, Passengers: 0-32

Armaments: 4 Civilian grade light plasma turrets, 1 focused construction class cutting beam.

This ship class predates the Alliance of the nine, created by a naive commercial commune of three systems for search and exploitation of new systems.

After the start of the war with the Empire, and the formal formation of the Alliance, these ships had a new purpose as scientific and exploration ships in the new Alliance government.

These ships are the first vessels into new systems, jumping into the fringes to deploy satellites, smaller probes, or do flyby scans of planetary systems.

Each mission will have a dedicated load-out, with pods and attachment canisters swapped out as necessary for the mission. They can also do secondary missions for more in depth analysis of planets, moons, and orbital bodies to lay the groundwork for more dedicated scientific or industrial missions. These tasks include setting up ground sensors, sampling, laying out foundational landing points for expedition bases.

As the ships are unable to land, they utilize a simple aero shuttle to transit between space and ground. The shuttle is a simple flying wing design with a pair of extending engine pods for extra manoeuvrability. They can carry 8 passengers, or retract the seats to make room for more cargo. A lower clamp allows the ship to haul cargo on its belly.
