You cant even imagine, how happy I am!
Because today was my first exhibition too (in Šamorín, Slovakia)! All day long I was working on it, managing everything till perfecttion. I didnt had even a second to visit dA. And now, after everything was done, and the ppl liked my photos, and finally I got home (01.00am here...(: ) I had this little idea in my head, to visit here before I go to sleep. And when I noticed the number of messages, I knew, that something has happened! Thank you all for your wonderful comments and

Sorry for my English, I hope to contribute to a better shot. Excellent composition, very nice geometric and the fusion of colors in the background, very striking, one shot out of the ordinary, you could pick the right release point. Perfect framing and vertical split in 3 / 3. 2 / 3 for the pedestal and 1 / 3 for the background of buildings and sky. Excellent shades of blue sea and sky, a beautiful fusion of color, it would be interesting to know what kind of lens you took, the picture seems there is a slight vignetting. From the picture you used a long exposure, maybe one small personal note, I would have liked it more clouds on fire, for the rest, compliments for the photo.

Thank you for your constructive critique! Your absolutely right! The clouds werent in their best shapes at the moment, when I took the picture. This was the most I could get out from the situation at that moment. Maybe a next time! I used the canon 17-40 lens with a FF camera. The vignetting was purposely done. Thank you, again!

That is a wonderful combination. I use a 5D mark II. Its a wonderful camera. Before that I had a 40D. At the beginning of this year I went for the upgrade, and Im very happy, that I did. As for me, the biggest improvement to the 5D its the sensor cleaning technology. It helps a lot.

My next purchase will be the 5D mkII, I'll use for the timelapse 7d, 5d for the photos, next year there will be a new lens, canon 8-15L series very interesting for landscapes

When I first saw the thumb nail of this image I thought it was a digital painting. Once I got the full view I wanted to be inside the picture! The contrast of the texture and light brown color of the wood to the smooth water is something that really makes this image special. The dock leads our eyes to the houses that almost seem to be sitting on the edge of the world. The lighting and angel of this shot are something the photographer took great care with. It just shows in the work. But even after all that work, the sky was nice enough to have some beautiful clouds in it, to make this image so much more.

Not to knock what you said, since it's definitely true, but shouldn't a critique contain criticism? If you don't have something constructive to add, why not just leave this as a comment?

To critic does not mean to always find fault with something, it can give praise too. I see nothing wrong with image and these critiques go out to my watchers as well and help give the artists more views. Which is one reason they are around.
