you can google how to get just follow these instructions and google the GZdoom engine and FREEDOOM then the mod & you can play it freedoom 1 & 2 is basically doom 1 & 2
DOOM modding for new comers. If your more of a visual learner watch this video by Icaruslives its pretty much the same as the text instruction. https://youtu.be/pIcjmIz03fc
This is for people like myself who are relatively new to doom modding or just PC gaming in general.
How to mod DOOM?: First I would make sure you have a copy of doom. steam Good old Games or Freedoom will do. You should also get something to run it off of like GZDOOM GZDOOM: https://zdoom.org/downloads Freedoom: https://freedoom.github.io/download.html
How to run GZDOOM: if you have a steam or GoG copy the it should automatically find it. If you got freedoom you'll want to make folders on your desktop labeled GZDOOM & FREEDOOM. Open free doom and you should see Freedoom1.WAD & Freedoom2.WAD. simply highlight them both and just drag and drop right into the extracted GZDOOM folder and it should work.
