Description I have bad days way too often. Aka, the 'Hakku getting ripped apart in different scenarios' -series continues! wow such blood

So one day I was inspired to try my hand on cellshading, again, for the gazillionth time. The thing is, every single time I try, it goes just fine until I get to the actual shading and it never turns out the way I'd want it to and I end up doing it all half-assed and I hate doing it and if there's something that upsets me, it's exactly that. So, this time I decided that I was really, seriously, going to try it out, so I did. This is the result, and I've got to say, it turned out way better than I expected it to when I first started it. Feels good, man.

At first it was supposed to just be a Hakku with a broken neck, and I wasn't sure how exactly could I show a broken neck without any external injuries of, like, a protruding bone or something. Googling "dog with broken neck" didn't really seem right, either, even if I did it (there weren't any references for that matter). So I added some blood and chains and it turned into this and I guess it's okay. So. Yeah.

I adore this so much. The fur detailing on the neck, especially where those shadows fall, keeps drawing me in and the blood appearing to have that realistic 'slightly syrupy/coagulating' texture as it drips.. i appreciate the little things like that, the fall of the neck and features with gravity, and your choice of using a foreground object to delineate spacial awareness.  The red flecks that appear like dust motes in the light (to me at least?) - sorry, I just really love your work and style and it's not often I find artists who draw or appreciate a darker portrayal of canine topics that aren't overdone and cliché. :3

Also lighting, god your grasp of it and digital working... so envious!

I actually really like darker art so I liked doing this, and unrealistic blood is a huge pet peeve of mine, which is why I tried to make it as realistic as I possibly could.
