Description Here you can see my white plum blossom kanzashi up close! I used kimono grade silk-- actually the lining of a up-cycled kimono that I recently acquired. I've said it many times, but I really love plum blossoms. they're such sweet flowers, and they have a lovely scent.

I had the pleasure of supervising a setsubun event on Friday...it was really cute...so many tiny children throwing beans.

So, the art of folding silk squares into flowers, as you know, is called tsumami zaiku, and I make kanzashi (hair pins) for the modern girl. So while this design leans on the traditional maiko kanzashi side (especially for me), it's simplified so you can wear it in your natural hair.

I can make another for you if you want though.     www.etsy.com/listing/505391510…
