Another one for the Inktober challenge and my theme of "Animals". Something a little different. I loved the look of this majestic bird and had to illustrate him

Bearded vultures are my favorite of the raptors, they just look so awesome, and you really do them justice!

Thank you so much for your great comment I had never seen a bearded vulture picture before a few weeks ago, but saw this gorgeous specimen in a photographer's National Geographic spread and was in complete awe! Who would have thought a vulture could be so beautiful. I then went and looked them up and and found so many different varieties.


I have always loved raptors and recently sold a painting at an exhibition of a bird of prey, so I am obviously not alone.

Bearded vultures, also known as Lammergiers, are literally my all time favorite predator bird asides from peregrin falcons. I can't draw them for heck, but I LOVE their personalities and fashion sense, I've actually been working on a couple characters who are partners and one of them is themed very heavily on the bearded vulture.
I really should finish that piece, they're so much fun to draw.
