I just love colourful photos (specially strong and bright colours ^^). There are some ways how I captued them:
nĀ°1. I always shoot on a sunny day or in an area with lot of lights.
nĀ°2. Prepare the setting of my camera (Nikon D40 or D70): I set the "Optimize image" (in "Shooting Menu") to "Vivid" or "More Vivid" to increased the contrast and saturation of the photo.
nĀ°3. I also sometime set the metering to measure the brightness only on the focus area (the subject of the shot)
nĀ°4. I'll edit the photos in Photoshop to fix the colours, the contrast etc
