Although the chest should be a bit deeper, the model overall looks fantastic. I'd hate to be the guy to make the obvious comparison, but it's essentially Ark if Ark had better creature design.

Why ride a horse when you can ride a Mutha Truckin' T-Rex!

Despite the fantastic design, could a T-Rex possibly be "ridden." Or, is this definitely an impossible fantasy? Basically, if existing at the same time, could humans ride T-Rexs?
My intuition is NO.

Well if you want to get technical...
1.) Nothing is impossible in these terms as something considered impossible today, could be possible tomorrow due to new inventions and knowledge gained.
2.) As others have said below, creating strong relationships with apex predators has been done with bears and lions so a T. rex wouldn't be so far fetched if raised alongside its owner. Riding it though is something no one will ever be able to prove either way.
3.) Nothing about this design or concept was meant to be taken seriously, it's pure fun and I wouldn't want to attempt it in real life.

Wow, that’s amazing. I honestly wouldn’t have known it was 3D in “The Pale Horse” piece you did. (Assuming it is the same one) Amazing!

Quizá si las riendas enganchasen en el boquero, el diseño de las riendas sería perfecto.

It would be about as easy for someone to tame a T. Rex so he could ride the dino as it would be for a T. Rex to make a bed....

If it were hatched, in front of it's owner, so that it would "imprint" on him, and the owner raised it with loving care, and rigorous training, then you might have an animal that would tolerate the harness, and be useful.
But...., feeding this guy!!!!!!

Yeah, impossible to care for.
Much easier to ride a horse to hunt the T-Rex.

If you were a cattle rancher, as well, you might be able to provide the meat necessary to keep ol' T-Rex happy.
Of course, encouraging him to consume your enemies and their horses, might help solve the feeding dilemma.

How does the rider reach the saddle?

Herschel-Hoffmeyer In reply to TorturedArtist745 [2019-03-08 00:20:04 +0000 UTC]
This could be done a bunch of different ways with props depending on the theme the artist plans to incorporate it into (such as a ladder, staircase, elevator, etc). The saddle product does come with a more straight forward approach of a knotted climbing rope (which the rider can attach to the saddle) and poses if that's your cup of tea.
