Description
Another illustration for a short story written by my friend
In this chapter Hannah asks her father for dinner to be brought outside, so not only the guests but also the gryphon can all participate equally. Unsurprisingly, he is absolutely not on board with "gryphon participating", and this angers the girl since both she and her father know full well that the gryphon is harmless even though he is wild and frightening to some.
They donβt come to terms and Hannah skips the dinner altogether to the displeasure of the guests. She spends the evening in the garden gazebo chatting with Kaern. Gryphon tries to calm and comfort her, that what has happened is no oneβs fault and the guests would indeed likely be scared of him. But this only makes the matter worse. Hannah is convinced that her father was in the wrong, that he never makes things her way and that Kaern should be on her side since they are best friends. Kaern tries to reason with her once again and Hannah interprets it as betrayal from his side.
She can not control herself and banishes the gryphon.
Kaern would like to stay, but sees no other way, so he flies away.
As usual, I'm going to post the original text in a comment below . Sadly, it is untranslated, but it's there if you wish to immerse yourself in the story.
