Altered book, work in progress. A copy of Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography which has been assertively altered - each spread has been cut down to a different architectural shape, and each spread thus has views behind and beyond to other spreads. The theme is the layered world of childhood, using illustrations from early 20th C illustrators as focal points. The focal illustration in this spread is by Elizabeth Shippen Green. Background scene composed from all kinds of other bits and pieces.

All the angles...and all the points of view. I imagine you are going crazy from the multiple views?

It is a challenge. I have to think of what's behind the window, and what's visible around the angles of the cut edge. Somehow it comes together, and I'm having fun!

I did some window work in the Mavericks, and it was crazy-making. I kept covering things up unintentionally...had to keep flipping back and forth. But definitely fun.
