Smaller drawing today, but I like how it turned out. As always trying to push my comfort zone and try new things technique-wise.I had Melian in mind when I drew this out, but I'm not sure it looks like her anymore

thanks, The whole thing is a bit more arte nouveau than usual. I have always admired the style, but I don't tend to work with a lot of line or flat areas of color, so its rare that that influence shows this strongly.

Did you try to make such a piece on purpose? Or do you just generally have trouble with the style?

this one sort of, I liked elements of the style that I wanted to emulate. Usually I'm not actively trying to emulate any given style, but do find I take influence from certain styles here and there.

Well it always a good practice to try something very specific. But then I'm a challenge junkie (having a challenge group), so I might have a bit of a twisted look at things.
