This is Karlchen.His owner would not pay his operation and leave him in the animal hospital
So he was alone and found a new place in the local cat shelter who pays his operation (penis amputation) and search a new home with better humans for him.

Poor baby, he looks like a cuddler too! My guy had to have almost the same surgery - very expensive and painful, but definitely life saving. I'm glad that I was able to afford it and save his life. I really hope that things look up for this little guy!

Sometimes people really can't pay for their pets' surgery, even they want to.

Poor kitty! My cat almost had to have an operation like that because he kept getting urinary tract blocks for almost two months, but once I changed his diet and he got immediate treatment with anti-biotics, apple cider vinegar, and a catheter (twice), he got better and didn't need the operation. It was not cheap to treat him, but it was money well worth making sure my little guy would be okay.
I hope this cat goes to a great home. Great work on putting the rescue cats in the spotlight.

Operations for humans and animals are unfortunately very expensive and I'm directly concerned by this: 3 operations of the back because of scoliosis
Some people will spend all their savings to save their pet but some people will consider that they have more important things like paying for an operation for his/her daughter/son or another member of the family; paying the rent/bills..... you can't judge these people as you know nothing about their lives and problems
PS: If surgeons had to cut the cat's penis it's maybe because he has a penis' cancer, yes it unfortunately exists for animals and humans it's horrible to see O__O

I kind of agree.. horrible as it is to leave ones pet and family member like that, if he/she didn't have the money for the operation then it's better they left him at the hospital were he got help than to dump him in the street...
If you don't have the money then you don't and sometimes you don't plan to have a pet and no money to pay for the vet, it can happen suddenly and at a bad time at that..=/

Actually with cats it is usually done because of recurrent urinary tract blockages because male cats are, unfortunately, frequently cursed with very narrow urethras which need to be removed so that they won't be blocked again.

Boah,wie mich solche Leute ankotzen...Mir war das Geld vollkommen egal,als es meinem Katerchen schlecht ging.Ich wollte ihm um jeden Preis helfen,doch leider waren seine Organschäden schon zu weit vortgeschritten.Ich musste ihn am 10. einschläfern lassen...15 Jahre lang war er unser Familienmitglied und ich bin für jedes dieser Jahre sehr dankbar.
Deshalb verstehe ich die Leute überhaupt nicht,die sich Tiere anschaffen ohne die Bereitschaft,für sie zu sorgen auch wenn es ihnen mal schlecht geht.Dann sollten sie es lieber ganz lassen.
Ich hoffe sehr,dass Karlchen die Operation gut übersteht.Und das er bald neue Besitzer findet,die bereit sind für ihn gut zu sorgen.
