Description
Here's a commission done for who wanted me to create a piece which featured the expression that KP gave after Roachie licked her in that titular episode.Β So after some thoughts about what I could do with that expression, I figured a good way to use it would be as a reaction to a recent movie release which frankly, A LOT of other people also had. ^^Enjoy!

For a second I thought they were watching the Incredibles 2 and had witnessed the Bau short. After looking over the DVD case, yeah that's about the proper reaction. I'll never know why they decided NOW to make a live action Kim Possible movie. They missed their window several years ago.Β

Part of what makes KP works is the animated medium, like a lot of other examples it just doesn't translate well over to live action.

Tom Holland is too big of a star now for this.
I don't see how they couldn't get Patrick Warburton for Barkin instead of Todd from Last Man on Earth who looks nothing like the character.
The guys who played Drakken and Shego honestly looked good, and from all reviews that I've seen, most people say they were the lone standouts on the show.
As for the kid actors, I don't know who would be good for any of those roles.Β The kid who played Ron looked pretty good (yes I know that's how he talks normally) but everyone I think would have been a good fit are too old now. (Sarah Hyland would have made a perfect Bonnie Rockwaller 10 years ago)
They should have stuck to animation and I'm fairly certain they could have gotten 90% of the cast back to voice the characters.Β But this is the world we live in and we we can just throw this up on the garbage heap of Disney live-action remakes which pale in comparison to their animated predecessors.

Actually I take that back, I DO know who'd make a perfect live-action KP and that would be Madison Lintz.Β About the same age, has the same perky/confident personality quick wit, voice sounds pretty similar too.Β She was Sophie on Walking Dead (back when she was like 12) and then she was Maddie on Bosch.

I didn't see it but I was appalled that they took a character who was naturally charismatic, empowered, confident and "could do anything" and they relegated her to a whiny 14 year-old who gets upset because someone was better at something more than she was.Β I don't blame Sadie for that at all and lay that completely at the feet of Schooley and McCorkle.Β How can you take someone who's catchphrase is "so not the drama" and turn her into a drama queen?Β Did they have dinner with Rian Johnson during preprod?
