Description
As I imagine just about everyone in the polymer clay community knows, production of Premo has been severely hampered by the pandemic and it's getting difficult to acquire certain colors. I ordered some Cernit in greens and teals to try to fill for my favorite Premo teal (Peacock Pearl), and this dragon was made to try the new colors out. It turns out that Cernit is quite different from Premo in terms of workability - it's harder and it resists cutting/folding, but smooths really easily. It's rather strange and I don't like it. After making this dragon, I just want to say that OMG I hope this clay shortage ends soon because Premo is still my favorite polymer clay and I need it back in my life. My favorite supplier has been backordered since March so I've been snatching up packs here and there where I can, both online and in person. I just want to go back to buying batches of what I need from one place already. T_T
Rant aside, this dragon turned out pretty cute. I had fun with the spotty scales, and I like how the eyes stand out from the rest of the cool colors.
Crafted from Cernit polymer clay, Lumiere Lusters green-teal pigment, and handmade glass eyes. This dragon has been sold.
