Description
A couple weeks ago, Dulce and I were tossing around ideas for body art when she suggested that we do the Hogwarts houses. We excitedly gibbered on for an hour or so, then started doing sketches. Later, we looped Aidan and Laura into being the other two houses.

The second house I set to work on was Ravenclaw, modeled here by Laura. Ravenclaws are set apart by their intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. Their house colors are blue and bronze in the books (though they are blue and gray in the movies) and they are represented by an eagle (not a raven).

The first thing I did with Laura's face was line her eyes with white grease paint, then slap on some blue grease paint under and over her eyes. After that I layered a piece of lace over the blue and brushed on some subtle blue and bronze filigree. Once that step was done, I colored her eye sockets with a range of bronze eyeshadows, then penciled in some details with bronze and cyan eyeliner. Once the base was done, I glued on blue craft feathers around the top of the blue paint ( a messy and onerous process, I assure you). Finally, we colored in her lips with bronze pencil and added some dramatic shadows on her cheek bones with eyeshadow. The whole process took about 3/4ths of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, up until the point that Frollo burned down that person's house.
