Soooo, given a friend pointed out I've been beating around the main plot for too long decided to shift the attention to world building so deviated to history and myths. Also, decided to put elves

This man here is Orion Iarwyyn - an elven hero whose story has been passed on all the way to Terra's time. In the turbulent time he joined the rebellion led by a mortal woman with whom he fell in love. On their journey they also met a dragon Elara. He awoke emotions dragon's never felt before. Especially for something that walks on two legs. Because of those emotions, Elara performed the ritual known only to the first of her kind and he became one of them. All the knowledge and power of the ages he had been given. All the time of the world was at his disposal. He also had hopes that once he becomes one of them, he will forget what has happened in life and will be healed. After having spent some time in dragon's skin, killing as a dragon does, growing unfeeling with each day that passed, he decided that no matter how much time passes he will never be able to forget his life or the people in it. Especially the human woman who ended up loving a man who plunged a dagger in the heart of the battlefield. ( guess I'm in tragedy mood ) Also, he did not wish to become a beast that kills and feels nothing. He asked the dragon, Elara, to return him to being what he was.

" I'd much rather live an elf who was once a dragon, then a dragon who was once an elf."

It took awhile for the dragon to do it, but she did, because she would not have him next to her in grief.

Thus he was the first and last mortal( elves are not immortal in my setting) to have experienced how it feels to be a dragon. He died several decades later and his tomb is a subject of much speculation among the scholars.

That's short summary of the whole story I wrote. So naturally I went ahead to make him.
