it's only a gravestone, inscriptions worn out, so it's hard to tell. but they must be couple of centuries old as i could not find a graveyard where they once stood

could not see dates or names, not even graves...only couple of gravestones leaned on the churchyard wall. you can see more stones and details in my gallery.

all the stones had skulls and bones on them and again this is the only place i found it on graves.

very cool.. I would love something like that in my garden... why do u think it was used on the grave stone.. Im wondering apart from the obvious what it represented for that person.. if anything?

there were several such stones aligned on the crurchyard fence, and some things were written on them although unreadable...i did not pay that much attention to it. and almost all the stones had skulls on them, plus other decorations. some had crosses, chalices, and some shristian symbols too. i don't think they could have been anything else but gravestones, for the place where we saw them and carvings on them.
