Whinny had been wandering ever sicne she had met that dashing tom that night, but only recently had she discovered she was pregnant. Naturally nomadic and loving the open sky and land, she found it difficult to find a suitable place to settle down...Thank goodness an old coyote's den in the prairie had caught her eye, or she'd have to give birth in the open fields of grass. A nearby berry bush, complete with thorns, protected one side, and the grassy hill to the other would shelter them from rain. Flowers grew like wildfire, and it was easy to find soft bedding for her kittens, when they would come. She was ready.
