Goodness, it's been nearly a month since I uploaded something! First I was busy, then sick, then busy again... what a mess. But that's life.So gardens are supposed to be peaceful places, right? And yet nearly every day I find things topsy-turvy in some way or another in my own. One little annoyance is an ant infestation. I watch helplessly as my strawberries get devoured. But, destructive as the ants are, I can't help but find them fascinating. After all, ants have to eat too.
I was going for a more muted color scheme here, to suggest a shadier location. I usually make the greens much brighter, but I do like this new look.
About 6 hrs work, watercolor on Strathmore 300 series watercolor paper.

The muted tones really worked in your favor I think! Though I have to admit when I saw the strawberry I thought it was a raspberry x x.
I'm really glad to see more of your work! I hate you got sick though, I know when you get sick you REALLY get sick. Hope it wasn't too bad!

Aw, thank you! I'll have to do these colors more often then. Yeahhh it does kinda look like a strawberry/raspberry hybrid.
And it was only for a few days. Don't worry, I lived, haha.
